On Thursday 9 december 2010 BLUS took the first steps towards becoming a fully independent organization fulfilling the requirements of Copenhagen Municipality for obtaining financial support under the laws of organizations for the information of the public. An extraordinary general meeting had been called by the board of BLUS, and at this meeting the statutes of the organization were amended to accommodate these requirements, and a membership fee of DKK 75 per year was introduced. This is to comply with the rules of the municipality. We are now ready to sign up new members and renew previous memberships according to the new statutes. Please support BLUS by becoming a member!

IGLYO is organizing a study session called “Knock knock, who’s there?” LGBTQ young people at the doorsteps of health care: Understanding obstacles and increasing access taking place in Strasbourg, France from 28 November to 5 December 2010. There is an opening for three preparatory team members to help plan, organize and facilitate this study session. The team will consist in total of six people, taking into consideration gender and geographical balance in the team. Interested candidates can apply by sending a motivation letter to the IGLYO coordinators at lgbthealth(at)iglyo.com. Deadline for motivation letters is Friday 20 August 2010, 6pm CET. At the AGM last Tuesday the members of BLUS elected a new board. Today, the new board met for the first time and was constituted as follows:

The new board will be meeting on the third Tuesday of every month.
