Sabaah søger kommunikations- og PR-medarbejder

Edit

Via Sabaah:

Love Knows No Gender!

In 1989, Denmark was the first country in the world to allow civil unions for same-sex couples. Many other countries and jurisdictions have since followed and moved even further. Today, seven countries and seven jurisdictions allow same-sex marriages. Denmark is definitely no longer in the lead. But this might only be a matter of time! A number of bills on marriage equality are scheduled to be read and debated in Parliament on 26 March. We will be arranging the handing out of petition forms at different schools around the city. If you would like to help out, please e-mail info@blus.dk. In the mean time, please show your support by signing the online petition – and make sure you ask friends and family to sign it too!

Call for Annual General Meeting 2010

The annual general meeting of BLUS will take place on Tuesday 30 March at 20:00 in Studenterhuset!
The AGM is the highest authority of BLUS. This is where proposed statutory amendments are voted on, and where a new board is elected. We do need new people on the board, so if you’re interested in BLUS and doing a bit of volunteer organizational work, now’s your chance! If you’re unsure if running for the board is right for you, feel free to ask us any question via email or directly to any of the current board members at Studenterhuset.
The agenda for the AGM will be as follows:
  1. Election of chairperson and keeper of the minutes
  2. Activity report
  3. Financial report
  4. Statutory amendments
  5. Election of board
  6. Election of auditor + alternate
  7. Any other business
Any proposals for statutory amendments must be presented to the board no later than two weeks before the AGM (preferably by email). Also, only members who joined BLUS no later than two weeks prior to the AGM are eligible to vote. The current statutes can be found here (only in Danish).
There will be refreshment available at the meeting and we hope to see as many as possible!
