On Thursday 9 december 2010 BLUS took the first steps towards becoming a fully independent organization fulfilling the requirements of Copenhagen Municipality for obtaining financial support under the laws of organizations for the information of the public. An extraordinary general meeting had been called by the board of BLUS, and at this meeting the statutes of the organization were amended to accommodate these requirements, and a membership fee of DKK 75 per year was introduced. This is to comply with the rules of the municipality. We are now ready to sign up new members and renew previous memberships according to the new statutes. Please support BLUS by becoming a member!

New open-stage in Copenhagen for homo, bi, trans, queer students and their friends
On 10 November BLUS will host an open-stage night for musicians, poets and comedians. “The purpose of this event is to create a new musical and creative scene for homo, bi, trans and queer people” says the future host, songwriter Chili goes Chili. Chili has played at Copenhagen Pride 09, and Women’s Space at the World Outgames ’09 amongst other venues including the legendary New York gay bar The Stonewall Inn.
This evening in November is a sneak peak of what is to become a regular BLUS event during the spring. Do you have a few songs up your sleeve? Are you a born entertainer? Are you blessed with a poetic tongue? Or do you just want to listen? Then come by Studenterhuset this Tuesday at 20.
On the programme already:
For more info or if you want to go on stage, please contact Chili at openstage (at) blus (dot) dk.
