Why become a member?

Well, first of all to support your local LGBTQ student organization, of course! But, as a member of BLUS you also get a ~25% discount in the bar in Studenterhuset. For instance, you can get a pint of Carlsberg for 25 kroners (non-members pay 34 kroners). Members are the only ones eligible to vote at the BLUS AGM, and they also get reduced prices at events like the annual Christmas Party.

How much is it?

That’s the best part! A BLUS membership is free! But (yeah sorry, there’s a but), as BLUS enjoys the benefits of being an activity group in Studenterhuset, we have to obide by their rules. This means that in order to become a member of BLUS, you must be a member of Studenterhuset. If you’re a student at the University of Copenhagen (KU), you’re automatically a member for free. Students at other schools (and non-students) can become members of Studenterhuset for DKK 50 for 1 semester or DKK 75 for 2.

So how do I sign up?

Just drop by Studenterhuset on a Tuesday night and ask for a membership form at the bar. Once completed, you’ll get a cool BLUS logo sticker on your student ID as proof of your membership. Non-KU students can sign up for Studenterhuset-membership (and pay the fee) at the same time.
