What is BLUS?
BLUS is an organization run for and by LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/transsexual, and queer) students in and around Copenhagen. BLUS organizes parties, debates, movie nights and other events in addition running the café every Tuesday from 19.00 at Studenterhuset in central Copenhagen. The beer is cheap and even cheaper if you become a member of BLUS!

What does BLUS mean?
The word BLUS (/blu:s/) was originally used as an abbreviation of “Bøsse Lesbiske Universitets Studerende”, which is Danish for “Gay and Lesbian University Students”. Today, BLUS is much more than that. We embrace LGBTQ students from all kinds of different schools, including universities, business schools, art schools, and even high schools. We do, however, like the name, so even though the meaning has changed a bit, we’re still called BLUS
