What is BLUS?
BLUS is an organization for Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans and Queer students. The organisation was founded in 1996 and serves as a social platform for LGBTQ students in and around Copenhagen. We are based in the Student House and every Tuesday evening we manage the bar. Most Tuesdays we also host events such as film screenings and political debates. We work internationally and are members of ILGA, IGLYO and ANSO.
If you are interested in knowing more or participating in the organization please feel free to contact us at info@blus.dk or come have a chat on a Tuesday evening.

What does BLUS mean?
The word BLUS (/blu:s/) was originally used as an abbreviation of “Bøsse Lesbiske Universitets Studerende”, which is Danish for “Gay and Lesbian University Students”. Today, BLUS is much more than that. We embrace LGBTQ students from all kinds of different schools, including universities, business schools, art schools, and even high schools. We do, however, like the name, so even though the meaning has changed a bit, we’re still called BLUS
