Hosting an international guest during OutGames

Would you be interested in hosting an international guest from the IGLYO conference for six days in connection to the start of the OutGames? The International Gay & Lesbian Youth Organisation Conference takes place in Amsterdam in mid July. Twenty of these participants have been handpicked to present the conclusions of the conference at the OutGames Human Rights Conference here in Copenhagen. BLUS is one of two local partners to IGLYO, (Landsforeningen for Bøsser og Lesbiske (LBL) is the other), and has thus taken upon itself to find accommodation for these guests.
The guests are from various countries from Africa, Asia and North and South America, and will be arriving in Copenhagen between 18-20 on the evening of Friday the 24th and leave at 21:00 on Wednesday the 29th. It is thus five nights and six days.

Worth to mention is that BLUS and LBL are together arranging a social programme for the guests, in addition to the time they spend at the conference. Hosting is thus not a “baby-sitting” task, but only providing a place where the guest can sleep and rest. As well, there should be no expenses connected to hosting, as money for food for the guests will be provided by OutGames.

As many of the activities will take place in central Copenhagen, it is preferred if you live close to the centre of town, and have good public transports connections. As a rule of thumb, it should max take 15 minutes with public transport to reach the city centre.

All the hosts are invited to a dinner at Riz Raz on 26 July to meet the other guests as well as board members from LBL and IGLYO. We also encourage everyone to partake in the rest of the social programme set up for our guests.
